Joyce has been a practicing therapist for over twenty years.
Each person she meets is treated with unconditional, positive regard.
This is the cornerstone of therapy.
She received her degree in Counseling Psychology from Nova University
in 1982.
As the director of Awareness Counseling Services, Joyce directed
a variety of supervisory and administrative tasks, educational planning
for her staff, and workshops for people interested in personal growth.
Her background in education qualified her for a staff position
at Broward Community College as an adjunct professor, teaching continuing
education programs.
Joyce has written numerous articles published in local papers,
and has lectured within the tri-county area. Shehas facilitated
Adult Children Of Alcoholic meetings for many years. Joyce continues
to run DUI groups and has recently been certified as an Addiction
Professional.
Now Joyce is a sole practitioner, doing what she loves most: helping
others heal. With sensitivity and compassion Joyce counsels each
person as an individual.
Most important to Joyce is that her clients' needs are met. This
requires individualized treatment plans.
Joyce is also an artist and considers herself fortunate that she
can pursue both her passions: sharing in the healing of others as
they move forward making positive changes in their lives, as well
as her own self expression through her paintings. |
